Our Story

After working in many areas of Audiology from the NHS in Bradford to a role as a trainer for a global hearing aid manufacturer, and many roles in between. Sue had seen all aspects of Audiology around the world.

What really prompted the start of her own business as The Skipton Audiologist was her passion to ensure that people with hearing difficulties could access the advice they wanted in a dedicated centre local to their homes. 

Audiology on the high street is often tucked away in the backroom of an Opticians. Having led her professional body as President of the British Academy of Audiology Sue felt strongly that her hearing healthcare business should stand on it’s own and raise it’s own profile to ensure our hearing is seen as the important sense that keeps us connected with the people, activities and pastimes that we love throughout our lives.
